Executive Director

Born and raised in Monroe, Ohio, Lynn attended Miami University of Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  In 2001, Lynn relocated to New Jersey and started her career in senior living at Classic Residence by Hyatt as the Human Resources Manager.  In 2007, Lynn’s career took her to Williamsburg, Virginia and worked as the Memory Care Director at Warwick Forest. Lynn completed her Administrator-In-Training Program and started her Executive Director career at Morningside of Williamsburg in 2011.  Lynn knew right away that Morningside was home for her and was nominated for the Executive Director of the Year Award in 2018 at the Virginia Assisted Living Association Conference.  In her spare time, Lynn enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and bike riding throughout the bike trails in Williamsburg.

Sales Counselor

A Queens, New York native, Christopher Vazquez joined the team at Morningside of Williamsburg in July of  2016.  Christopher earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications from Baruch College and began his career working in the New York City Council located at City Hall New York, New York.  He transitioned into the Healthcare field in 2009, and began working in the Emergency Department at New York Presbyterian Hospital.  He worked in the hospital system until he relocated to Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife in 2014.  Christopher brings nearly 10 years of healthcare experience to the team.  Christopher enjoys being a member of the Management Team at the community and is committed to doing whatever is necessary to help residents and their families.  In his free time, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys.

Director of Food and Dining

Originally from Heidelberg Germany, Chef Michael Wilson came to the United States as a young child and settled in Hampton Virginia.   Chef Mike served 8 years in the United States National Guard as a Telecommunications Operator and a member of the Military Police.   In 1994, he graduated from Johnson and Wales University, and began his career in the culinary arts.  Michael joined the team at Morningside of Williamsburg in October of 2014 and considers it his home.  He has been delighting our residents ever since with his culinary creations and preparing their favorite dishes.  Michael enjoys hunting, attending sporting events, and most importantly spending time with his daughter.

Director of Resident Care

Donna was raised in Morgantown West Virginia and moved to Virginia when she was 6 years old. Donna realized her passion for nursing thru being a care giver for her grandmother at a very young age. Donna’s passion for caring for the elderly shaped her career path in the Nursing field.  Donna joined the team at Morningside of Williamsburg in 2011 as the Director of Resident Care.   With over 30 years of nursing experience, and a “give it to you straight” nursing approach, Donna has excelled in this role ever since.   During her time away from the community, Donna enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and taking her boat out for a spin.

Bridge to Rediscovery Director

Jennifer grew up in an Air Force family and has lived in many different places across the United States. Virginia has been her home since 1997.  Jennifer joined the team at Morningside of Williamsburg in April of 2011 and considers it her second home. Jennifer completed her preceptorship for nursing school at the community and was then promoted to a Charge Nurse position.  In the early months of 2013, Jennifer was promoted to the Bridge to Rediscovery Director Role.  Jennifer is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a Red Cross CPR/ First Aid Instructor and an EssentiALZ certified.  She continues her education by attending dementia courses through the University of Tasmania. Thru her time working at the community, Jennifer has found a deep passion for caring for residents with dementia and their families.  During her days off, she loves to spend time with her husband and her two adorable pets.

Business Office Manager

Karen grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Point Park University with a Master’s Degree in International Business. This led her to spending most of her career traveling with clients from the United States throughout Europe and Asia.  Karen’s career also includes being an Assistant General Manager of Resorts, an Assistant Chief Engineer and a Regional Manager in the retail industry.  Karen transitioned into the senior living industry when she became an Executive Director at an Independent Living community in Virginia. With her passion for seniors and a desire to give back to the type of Assisted Living Community that helped her parents, Karen joined the Management Team at Morningside of Williamsburg as the Business Office Manager in 2017. In her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, walking, and designing and constructing wedding gowns.

Maintenance Director

Joseph is a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, Virginia.  Joseph joined the team at Morningside of Williamsburg in April of 2016 and brings over 30 years of experience to the team.  Joe has certifications in HVAC/Refrigeration, New Home Constructions/ Repair and Structural Integrity for commercial buildings. Joe also owned his own home building business in the Williamsburg area for 12 years.   Joe loves to spend time with his 3 daughters and wife, especially if it involves music.  Joseph is a guitarist and singer in a local band called Fox Fire. At any time, you can hear Joseph serenading our residents with his musical talents.

Lifestyle360 Director

Sylvia was born on the beautiful island of Guam, and enjoyed the island lifestyle until her family relocated to mainland America during her preteen years. Sylvia moved to Virginia when her father retired from the military. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Health and Human Services from Ultimate Medical Academy. Sylvia joined the team at Morningside of Williamsburg in 2012. With her naturally bubbly personality and warm positive attitude, Sylvia proved herself to be an asset to the residents. Sylvia was then promoted to the Lifestyle360 Director role in 2016. She loves planning and organizing the activities and events that the residents love!  When away from the community, Sylvia enjoys listening to music, dancing and spending time with her husband.

Rehab Team Leader

Patti  graduated from  Northern Virginia Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program and then  embarked on a career assisting all types of patient’s with their physical therapy  needs.  She has over 30 years of experience in the physical therapy field and more than 25 years of experience treating the aging population through the home health care system.   Patti has worked with Five Star Ageility Physical Therapy Solutions for 3 years and has been the Rehabilitation Manager for 2 years.  Patti has been married for 30 years and her husband is a retired Master Chief of the US Navy. In her free time, Patti enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
