It will be a year in December that I moved into Five Star Premier. I was very fretful, confused and quite frankly a little nuts. But from the moment I moved in I became a new woman. Everyone that helped me get settled was so positive and so eager, from the front desk, the office ladies, the dining room staff, the maintenance men and cleaning ladies. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I love my apartment with my terrace. I sit on it every night before my dinner with my gin & tonic. I was placed at a table for my first dinner in the beautiful dining room with 3 ladies. I was told if they weren’t to my liking I could change tables. I am still sitting with the same 3 ladies! Lucky me! Everyone at Five Star is very friendly making it a happy home. I’m 88 years young. This is my last phase of my life and I appreciate the fact that I can spend the next many years in this beautiful place called Five Star Premier.

Being in the medical profession I am aware of a lot of Independent Living Facilities in the Hollywood area. When my Mom made a decision to sell her condo and re-locate to an independent facility, the only place I would consider was Five Star Premier Residences. My Great Aunt lived there about 25 years ago when it was called North Park, and my Mom always raved about the wonderful care my Aunt received, the wonderful food, beautiful grounds and lovely apartments. Twenty five years later, even though the name has changed the high quality is still present. Probably better than ever. My Mom is fortunate enough to still live independently and I believe Five Star has helped her retain her independence. she loves that she can participate in classes if she wants to or not. She can be as social as she feels on any given day. Her apartment is cleaned weekly, linens washed and changed. My Mom's one complaint is there is to much food. But how lovely it is to have 2 meals a day where you are waited on and everything is made to order. During Hurricane Irma when many facilities had problems, Five Star continued to provide for it's residents to a very high degree. When power was lost, residents and family members were made aware that residents should stay on their floors. Three meals a day where delivered at the appropriate times, even though in independent living breakfast and dinner are only offered. Staff came by twice a day to ensure there was no problems. I was at my Mom's apartment the day prior to Irma and the day after. The preparations to keep things running smoothly was very evident. Even though there was no power for 2 1/2 days my Mom was very well taken care of. We could have brought her to our house, but my Mom didn't want to pack up and move, after just moving into her new apartment. With the assurances of the staff and me living so close, my husband and I agreed to keep her at her apartment with a very heavy heart. And I do not regret it at all. I cannot say enough about the staff, the residents and everyone associated with this facility. You have given my Mom her life back.

I guess most people come here to join this community for pretty much the same reason. We lived our lives, some more successful than others, but all knowing we can't do all the things we used to. Here at Five Star of Hollywood we find a home where everyone, management people, service people, aids and dining room staff have one goal - make us residents comfortable and they succeed. With their help and devotion we become a community pampered and cared for at every step, but making sure we're as self sufficient as we can or want to be. The community is clean, well maintained, the grounds are beautifully landscaped and well tended. Our apartments get cleaned, our sheets and towels get washed, there is ample transportation for shopping, visiting doctors or entertainment. Last but not least through the untiring efforts of our Lifestyle Director and staff we are offered programs i.e. lectures, brain teasers, music, singers etc. Finally all of us residents are independent and no burden to their family and together become our community sharing our past experience and taking care of each other. Five Star is well named. Our lives here are five star.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the dedication, professionalism and thoughtfulness of the entire staff during the recent hurricane. You kept our parents safe, calm and comfortable even at the expense of your own comfort and your own families. We will never forget how you went the extra mile for the residents. With sincerest appreciation for all you do, all year long. THANK YOU!

My parents moved to Five Star in Hollywood, FL late last year, it took them a while to acclimate, but eventually they did. The staff there is lovely and was wonderful during the recent hurricane. I live out of state and it was such a relief not to have to worry about my parents during the storm and know that they were well cared for. Marge was a great communicator and added family members to the resident communications so we knew what was going on. A big thank you to the staff for giving us peace of mind.

The brochure of the facility doesn't do it justice, it must be seen in person! The grounds are kept immaculate, the apartments are spacious and luxurious. The staff, from the Executive Director to the maintenance staff, are courteous, kind and never seen without a smile. The activities and events will keep even the most active person busy. In my search for a living facility, I visited at least 6 other facilities which cannot even start to compare with Five Star Hollywood. A high class hotel and fine dining is incomparable, and I just love living here.
