Patrick joined the team at Morningside in the West End in 2018 as the Executive Director Patrick has spent his entire adult life working in the healthcare industry in several areas of expertise. In 2002, Patrick began his career working specifically with the senior population. Over the years, Patrick has developed a special affinity for those suffering from dementia Previously, Patrick has held several Executive Director Roles at senior living communities specializing in memory care. Patrick is originally a native of Texas, and moved to Chesterfield, Virginia in 2002. When away from work, Patrick stays busy raising his three children, enjoys gardening and spending time with his three dogs, chickens and cat.
Rebecca joined the team at Morningside in the West End four years ago as the Sales Counselor. Rebecca transitioned into this role after being the Lifestyle360 Director at Morningside of Bellgrade since 2008. After graduating from high school, the first goal Rebecca wanted to achieve was to serve her country. Rebecca joined the United States Army and proudly served as an Army Soldier Medic. In her current role of Sales Counselor, Rebecca loves what she does and finds helping seniors and their families very rewarding. Over the many years Rebecca has worked in Five Star Senior Living communities, she has learned to never underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, or a listening ear. Rebecca feels very fortunate to be able offer these small acts of kindness every day at work. Rebecca was raised in New Kent County and now lives in King William County with her husband and two children. When away from work, Rebecca spends most of her time, with her husband, caring for their two children and managing their busy activities schedules.
Carole joined the team at Morningside in The West End this year as the Lifestyle360 Director and now holds the position of our Business Office Manager. Previously Carole started her career in healthcare in the hospice industry and realized the positive influence she had on her patients. From there, she was a Program Manager for a Memory Care Assisted Living Community. Carole has a passion for seniors and continued to research and educate herself on dementia and was commissioned to write an operating program for an Adult Day Care specializing in Dementia. While in the role of Lifestyle360 Director, she understood how activities, socialization and engagement profoundly impact the residents and supported them in staying as independent as possible. She enjoyed working alongside the residents and looking for new and creative ways for them to continue to live and love life. Carole grew up in a small farming village 60 miles northwest of London, England. She immigrated to Chesterfield, Virginia at the end of August 2001, where she still resides with her two daughters.
Michael joined the team at Morningside in The West End as the Maintenance Director in 2018. After high school Michael joined the United States Marine Corps, He served 8 years as a diesel mechanic. After leaving the Marines, he became a Certified HVAC mechanic. In his current role, Michael enjoys the daily challenges of maintaining the community and getting to know all the residents. Michael has a passion for helping seniors and says his close relationship with his own grandfather was a large influence in his life. His grandfather taught him to respect his elders and always offer to help. These are now things Michael enjoys doing every day at work. When away from work, Michael stays busy with his daughter, loves spending time with family and enjoys all sports from cricket to basketball. Michael is a native of Chester, Virginia and now lives in Moseley, Virginia.
Anne joined the team at Morningside in The West End three years ago as a Licensed Practical Nurse caring for residents. Just a year after joining the team, based on her ability to provide excellent patient care and strong management skills, she was promoted to the R Director of Resident Care Role. Prior to becoming an LPN, Anne studied accounting at Virginia Commonwealth University. Anne also has an extensive background in the Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care Industry. Anne enjoys being part of the Management Team at the community and takes pride in performing her job to the best of her ability. Anne also feels that her success at the community comes from her commitment to always making herself available for residents and family members. When not working, Anne loves to cook, read and meditate.
