Executive Director

Jonathan joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade in May of 2019. Jonathan began his career as a Social Worker helping clients in crisis in Philadelphia, where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Haverford College. He first experienced the joy and satisfaction of working in senior living as the Resident Services Director at a Continuing Care Retirement Community serving retired military officers and their spouses in 2003. He became licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in 2010 and has led the nursing home operations of several communities since then, including the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg. Jonathan is from Washington D.C., is married with two sons and lives with his wife in Forest Hills.  In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, making pottery and most of all, playing with his new grandson.

Director of The Bridge to Rediscovery

Justin Brown was born and raised in Louisa, Virginia and has spent his adult life in Richmond, Virginia.While in High School Justin obtained his Certified Nursing Assistant License. From there, Justin moved on and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from ECPI University. Justin has spent a majority of his career in Customer Service and Management positions and also as a Staffing Coordinator in a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Justin joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade in June of 2019 as The Bridge to Rediscovery Director. Justin has a passion for helping others. Since joining Morningside of Bellgrade, Justin has discovered that the patience and love he has for his residents and their families are the key to building lasting relationships.  When not working at the community, Justin is also a youth pastor and helps his father with the family reupholstering business. Justin is married and enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, two children, and their two dogs.

Director of Resident Care

Latoya joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade in June of 2019 and has over 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.  Latoya began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1994 and her love and commitment to helping others grew from there. In 2002, she completed her Licensed Practical Nursing certification and in 2013, Latoya earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. Her thoughtful and deeply compassionate nature has brought her to leadership roles in several communities. Latoya has been a charge nurse, a unit manager and an assistant director of nursing in both non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Communities, as well as in stand-alone skilled nursing facilities. Most recently she was the Staff Development Coordinator providing clinical education and mentoring to both new and seasoned nurses. Latoya is a Richmond native who loves spending time with her three children and her grandchild.

Director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation 

Helen was born and raised in Chesapeake, VA and moved to Richmond in 1998 to attend Virginia Commonwealth University.  She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from VCU/MCV in 2004 and has practiced in a variety of settings in the Richmond area including hospitals, rehabilitation centers and home health.  Helen has been working in the senior living industry for 6 years and joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade as the Director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in February 2017.  Helen enjoys the clinical side of rehabilitation but she especially loves getting to know the residents and their families and being a resource for residents and families whenever needed.  When not at work, Helen spends her time with her husband and two sons and enjoys camping and supporting the boys at their sporting events and activities.

Sales Counselor

Kasey Matthews joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade in October of 2017 after spending a year as the Sales Counselor at Morningside of Charlottesville, also a Five Star Senior Living Community.  Kasey is originally from Long Island, New York but spent most of her life in Boca Raton, Florida.  Kasey attended Purdue University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.  Kasey has always had a passion for helping people.  The majority of her career has been spent in sales and marketing positions that have allowed her to make a positive difference in the lives of others.   Kasey thoroughly enjoys working with the families that she meets and considers it an honor to be a part of each families and residents journey of life when they move into Morningside of Bellgrade.   In her spare time, Kasey enjoys spending time with her family, friends and playing golf.

Director of Food and Dining

Chef Glenn discovered his passion for the culinary arts 20 years ago. He has been fine tuning his culinary skills ever since working in gourmet catering, several well established restaurants, and a platinum country club in Virginia. Chef Glenn joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade in 2017. Chef Glenn’s culinary expertise is in French and Southern American cuisine. Chef Glenn says what he loves the most about working at Morningside of Bellgrade is getting to know the residents and their families and creating delicious dishes that genuinely make them happy. In his spare time, Glenn enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Business Office Manager

Katy was born and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia, Katy joined the team at Morningside of Bellgrade in June of 2018. Katy is a Certified Dementia Practioner and has several years of senior living management experience. Growing up Katy spent most of her winter and summer months with her beloved grandmother. In August 2000, her grandmother passed away from Alzheimer’s.  From that moment, Katy realized that her passion was to work with the elderly.  In March 2017, Katy began a campaign to implement a revenue sharing license plate through the Department of Motor Vehicles to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.  After successfully collecting 450 preorders and presenting her bill “SB-701” to the Transportation Committee the bill was passed by the House and Senate.  The bill was signed into law by Governor Northam on July 1st, 2018 and on March 7th, 2019 the Department of Motor Vehicles officially released the VAENDALZ license plate to the public for sale.  Katy is very proud of this accomplishment and feels it is an example of the dedication and commitment she has to helping the senior population.  In her spare time, Katy enjoys traveling, dining and spending time with her family.
