Tracey was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Lorton, Virginia. She graduated from Strayer University with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. After various Human Resource positions with government contractors, Tracey began her career in Senior Living as the Personnel Director at Classic Residence by Hyatt which is now the Five Star Premier Residences of Chevy Chase in Maryland. Tracey joined the team at Heartfields of Fredericksburg 17 years ago as the Human Resources Manager and in 2004 was promoted to the Assistant Executive Director. Continuing her upward growth within the community, Tracey was then promoted to the Executive Director role in 2010. Tracey enjoys spending her free time exploring historical sites with her son and playing in the yard with her best furry friend Max.
Sheila was born in Warrenton, Virginia. She attended Marymount College of Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. After college, Sheila met and married her husband John in Virginia. They spent many years moving between the east and west coasts during John’s 20 year military career with the Unites States Marine Corps. Their overseas assignments brought them to Japan, Peru and Chile. Sheila’s passion for senior living began when she became a full time caregiver for her mother in law. Sheila missed being in the work field during this time and decided to join Heartfields at Fredericksburg as a part-time concierge while she continued to be a full time caregiver for her mother-in-law. Sheila loved working at the community and getting to know all the residents and their families. When Sheila was able to return to work full time again, she decided to use her 15 plus years of sales and marketing experience to good use and was promoted to the Sales Counselor position at the community in the beginning of 2019. Sheila has held various sales positions over the years with GEICO, the Free Lance-Star and Fredericksburg Today. In her free time Sheila volunteers with Virginia German Shepherd Rescue and always enjoys reading a good book in a sunny spot on her porch.
Rebecca was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and was raised in Long Island, New York. Rebecca graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies and a Certification in Dental Assistant. Rebecca got her start in Human Resources while working for the Department of Agriculture for 10 years. After getting married and having her 3 sons Rebecca took some time away from work to dedicate to being a full time Mom. Rebecca then re-entered the full time work force again as a School Bus Driver for 10 years so that she could still be home with her sons before and after school. Rebecca joined the team at Heartfields at Fredericksburg in 2017 as the Business Office Manager. Rebecca loves her job and the community. Rebecca says that what she enjoys most about her job is working with and supporting all of the team members at the community. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys yoga, going to the gym, and runs a 5K every month. Rebecca also loves to read, cook, try different foods from around the world, hiking, camping and kayaking.
Mary was born and raised in Eden, N.C. After graduating from Morehead High School, Mary attended the National Business College and earned her Medical Assistant Certification and Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Prior to joining the team at Heartfields at Fredericksburg, Mary worked as a CNA in a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary joined the team at Heartfields of Fredericksburg as a Care Manager in 2006 and found her passion was working in Assisted Living. Mary worked as a Care Manager for 5 years at the community and was then promoted to the Bridge To Rediscovery Director role in 2011. Ever since, Mary has been able to focus entirely on working and caring for our residents that have Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Mary loves all of our residents and enjoys getting to know each resident individually. Mary’s passion is being able to create days filled with opportunities for our residents to be engaged in the world around them and feel a sense of purpose. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Mary also enjoys shopping, traveling and is the #1 fan of the semiprofessional basketball team in Fredericksburg, The Grizzlies.
Wanda was born in Immokalee, Florida and raised in Ocala, Florida. After graduating from Forest High School, Wanda attended Central Florida Community College majoring in Criminology. Wanda has worked in the culinary field for 40 years and has attended 5 separate United States Marine Corp culinary schools. After retiring from her career of 38 years as a civilian with the United States Marine Corp, she joined the team at Heartfields of Fredericksburg as a Cook in 2013. Wanda was then promoted to the Director of Food and Dining role in 2018. Wanda is the proud mother of 2 sons and the Grandmother of 3 granddaughters. In her spare time she enjoys shopping and occasional trips to a casino.
Pamela was born and raised in Virginia. She started her career at Heartfields at Fredericksburg 18 years ago as a part-time concierge and was then promoted to the Assistant Lifestyle360 Director role in 2008. Two years later Pam was promoted to the Lifestyle360 Director Role. Pam has worked with our residents for 11 years and is a true believer in Maslow’s Five Dimensions of Wellness. Pam enjoys getting to know our residents and planning activities and outings around their hobbies and passions. Pam’s years of experience at the community give her the expertise to create opportunities for our residents to fulfill their social, spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional needs so that they can thrive in the community and feel their best. When not working, Pam relishes spending time with her family.
John is a true “local” to the area. John was born at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg and raised in Stafford, Virginia. After graduating from Stafford High School he completed a four year trade school program in Heating, Piping and Refrigeration. After 28 years of working for the union and ready for his second career, John joined the team at Heartfields at Fredericksburg in 2007 as the Director of Maintenance. John enjoys the daily challenges and demands of maintaining the community and enjoys getting to know our residents and family members on a personal level. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, his dog Ginger, and kayak fishing.
