Executive Director

Mary Moran joined the Five Star Family in 2012 in the position of Executive Director. She has an extensive background in nursing, education and health care administration with a focus in senior care management. Mary’s love of working with seniors was instrumental in her initiating the first medical model Adult Day Care Center in Allegheny County. An experienced administrator, Mary has worked in the field for twenty plus years at premiere senior living communities in the Pittsburgh area. She is committed to providing excellent customer service and quality care for Overlook Green Residents as well as a pleasant work environment for all team members. A life-long resident of the steel city, she is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoys spending time with family and a relaxing trip to the beach when time allows.

Director of Food & Beverage

Maura Bernarding joined Overlook Green as Director of Food & Beverage in 2016. She oversees the Dining department operations and staff.  She enjoys spending time with residents and their families, customizing a quality experience for each of them. Maura started in the management of food & beverage in 1997, in the hotel, casino, and fine dining industry.  She returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh in 2006, where Maura used her experience in the healthcare segment of dining as a Dining Director for skilled, assisted living, independent living, and memory care. Maura loves training her team, mentoring her cooks, and planning special events and menus for the residents.

Business Office Manager

Christina has 10 years’ experience working in hospitals, home health care, and senior living industries.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and credits towards a Master’s Degree in International Business. She has served as a Hospice Volunteer, assisting cancer patients in their final days.  Additionally, Christina holds a Certificate in Direct Care with the DPW of PA.  Christina likes a diplomatic, open door policy for staff, family and residents, and loves to hear all the fascinating life stories people have to share.

Director of Resident Care 

Amey has been a nurse for over 30 plus years in the healthcare industry, in every area from the field of acute care to outpatient care services.  She has been in long term care for over 12 years, and has observed many changes in the industry. Amey has a BBA in Health Administration; she did so, in order to have a better understanding of health care costs.  Amey is currently pursuing her CRNP in the field of family practice. Amey has served at Overlook Green Senior Living for the past five years as the Director of Resident Care, and she greatly enjoys each day with both her staff and Residents, and discovers that she is still learning new things daily.

Lifestyle360 Director

Denine started working at Overlook Green in 2008 as a Resident Care Aide.  She worked at Esther’s Sweet Shop, a family owned homemade Chocolate shop, before coming to Overlook.  Denine left in 2012 to work at another Senior Living Facility, but found her way back to Overlook Green as a Resident Care Aide and an Activity Assistant in 2015.  She was promoted to the Lifestyle360 Director in the beginning of 2018.  Denine is very creative, she plans our monthly activities and events the engage our residents in crafts, socials, games and more.  Denine enjoy spending her time with the residents and making them smile.

Bridge to Rediscovery Program Director

Jill joined the Overlook Green team in 2001 and has recently celebrated her 18th year with us. She started out as a Resident Care Aide for a little extra money to go on vacation and fell in love with her job and the residents.  After 13 years in the nursing department, she was promoted to the position of Lifestyle360 Director, which she held for 4 years then onto the position of the Bridge to Rediscovery Program Director. Jill enjoys caring for the residents as well as overseeing the secured neighborhood and has often referred to it as her “Home away from home!”  Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the residents and listening to their life stories.

Sales Counselor 

Dan joined the team of Overlook Green in February of 2012. His passion for senior living began over 18 years ago when he started volunteering at a local retirement community. He feels it is his calling to work in Senior Living and finds it a privilege to support families as they make critical decisions for their loved ones. His favorite aspect of his job is getting to know the residents and their family members. In 2009, he received his Bachelor’s degree from La Roche College. This past year, he attained his Personal Care Home Administrator License. When Dan is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, serving in his church, and traveling when he gets the chance.

Maintenance Director

Joe joined the team at Overlook Green in May of 1999 and will be celebrating his 20th year anniversary this year.  Joe enjoy working at Overlook Green and especially enjoys helping the residents. He has over 35 years of experience with the senior population. Joe thinks that the team at Overlook Green is very professional and enjoys being a part of it.  Joe has been married for  28 years and has three children, two grandchildren and one dog who he loves dearly.
