Meet Our Team
Mary Moran joined the Five Star Family in 2012 in the position of Executive Director. She has an extensive background in nursing, education and health care administration with a focus in senior care management. Mary’s love of working with seniors was instrumental in her initiating the first medical model Adult Day Care Center in Allegheny County. An experienced administrator, Mary has worked in the field for twenty plus years at premiere senior living communities in the Pittsburgh area. She is committed to providing excellent customer service and quality care for Overlook Green Residents as well as a pleasant work environment for all team members. A life-long resident of the steel city, she is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoys spending time with family and a relaxing trip to the beach when time allows.
Denine started working at Overlook Green in 2008 as a Resident Care Aide. She worked at Esther’s Sweet Shop, a family owned homemade Chocolate shop, before coming to Overlook. Denine left in 2012 to work at another Senior Living Facility, but found her way back to Overlook Green as a Resident Care Aide and an Activity Assistant in 2015. She was promoted to the Lifestyle360 Director in the beginning of 2018. Denine is very creative, she plans our monthly activities and events the engage our residents in crafts, socials, games and more. Denine enjoy spending her time with the residents and making them smile.
Jill joined the Overlook Green team in 2001 and has recently celebrated her 18th year with us. She started out as a Resident Care Aide for a little extra money to go on vacation and fell in love with her job and the residents. After 13 years in the nursing department, she was promoted to the position of Lifestyle360 Director, which she held for 4 years then onto the position of the Bridge to Rediscovery Program Director. Jill enjoys caring for the residents as well as overseeing the secured neighborhood and has often referred to it as her “Home away from home!” Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the residents and listening to their life stories.
Jay has had a passion for the culinary arts since he was a youth. In 1997 he moved to the United States and joined the Five Star team in 2004. Jay enjoys pleasing our residents and guests by what they fondly refer to as “The Chef Jay Style of Cooking, “which is a blend of American and Mediterranean styles.” In his free time he enjoys hunting and fishing.
