Executive Director          

Walt has been in long term care for almost 30 years and is passionate about making sure seniors receive the best in care possible.  He has an extensive background in Personal Care Administration and assisted in writing the previous and current set of Pennsylvania’s Personal Care Regulations.  He loves coming to work everyday to be with the residents and staff members.  In his free time he enjoys umpiring baseball and hunting.

Executive Chef

Jay has had a passion for the culinary arts since he was a youth. In 1997 he moved to the United States and joined the Five Star team in 2004.  Jay enjoys pleasing our residents and guests by what they fondly refer to as “The Chef Jay Style of Cooking, “which is a blend of American and Mediterranean styles.”  In his free time he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Director of Bridge to Rediscovery 

Cherrie began her career at Mt. Vernon of South Park in July 2015. She truly enjoys working on the Bridge to Rediscovery.  She has over 24 years experience working with seniors and is passionate about her work in memory care.  In her free time she enjoys being with her husband of 24 years and 11 grandchildren.

Lifestyle 360 Program Director            

Heather has been an Activity Director for 14 years and counting. She is very passionate about the residents, their families and her coworkers.  She loves coming to work every day because she loves to make the residents happy and keep them entertained.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Director of Resident Care            

Patty has a background as an administrative nurse in the senior housing and healthcare sector for 25 years.  Patty is most passionate about personal care operations including clinical coordination for admissions and daily operations of the nursing department.  She loves to come to work every day because of the residents and staff.  In her free time she and her husband spend time at their cabin.
