Amy Corby joined the Five Star Senior Living team in November of 2017 as the executive director of Clarks Summit Senior Living. Amy works actively to promote Five Star’s values and philosophies in all of her daily interactions as well as develop and maintain positive relationships with all she encounters. Since beginning her career in long term care, she has been passionate about cultivating an environment where residents thrive in their golden years and team members feel valued and respected for the work that they do. In her spare time Amy enjoys traveling, hunting ghosts, reading mystery novels, and college football.
Sue Chapin is the Sales Counselor at Clarks Summit Senior Living. She joined the team in February of 2005. She has over 25 years of experience in the older adult services industry. Sue resides in Waverly Township with her husband Kevin and children Nicholas and Angelina. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, vacationing at the beach and walking her dogs Toby and Teddy.
Gail has worked here for over 15 years and enjoys working in the position. She started out as a resident assistant, and then med tech. When the Lifestyle360 position came up 10 years ago, she jumped at the chance to be able to spend more time just having fun with the residents. Every day is a new adventure. Gail has six grandchildren that keep her very busy, and will be married forty years this June. “If you had asked her 15 years ago if I saw myself here, I would have laughed”. Prior to working at Clarks Summit she was an animal control officer for the local shelter for 13 years. “I hope to be here for a long time, because if anything this place is my second home and the residents are my extended family.”
Jackie joined our team in January of this year. She comes to us from Nurstat Agency where she was able to travel and spend many years providing physical, emotional care and support to multiple facilities in the area. Her position as Charge Nurse allowed her leadership and teamwork ability to shine. She is prompt to multiple task and provide excellent support to her staff as well as our residents. Jackie's education hails from LPN program at Wilkes-Barre Career and Technical Center. as well as LCCC, Nanticoke. Her positive attitude and tireless energy encourages others to work hard and succeed. While her main passion is nursing, on her days off she enjoys activities with her family such as camping and spending time at the beach.
Cara Slocum is the community's Housekeeping Manager and has been with Clarks Summit Senior Living for 12 years. Prior to her role in housekeeping, Cara was the Medicine Technician at the community. She truly enjoys helping residents in any way possible. Her goal is to meet and exceed the residents expectations every day. Cara is looking forward to building a strong team in efforts to keep our community sparkling clean.
Rob Alfred is the Director of Maintenance at Clarks Summit Senior Living where he fulfills all aspects of repairs and maintenance in their 3 story personal care community. Rob is an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoys hiking and camping with his family.
Neil has been in the Hospitality business for 35 years. He brings a wide range of industry experience including Casual dining, Senior Living, Corporate Cafeterias and Private Country Clubs. His motto is Simplicity with Elegance. In Neil's free time he enjoys fishing and Harness Racing. He loves spending time with my family and is excited to be a part of the Clarks Summit Senior Living Family.
Christine Pagnani is the Business Office/Human Resource Manager at Clarks Summit Senior Living. Christine started her career with Five Star in 2015. She has over 20 years’ experience in Business Management, Customer Service, Financial Services, Insurance, Sales and Marketing.
