Westgate Assisted Living is proud to announce it has received a deficiency-free survey on its Health Care Quality Survey conducted in December of 2015 by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, again!
The deficiency-free rating is a result of the State’s rigorous inspection and investigation which evaluates our community for quality, safety, cleanliness, care, administration, activity programming, protection of resident rights and food quality and service. The examination included a tour of the community, review of resident’s clinical records, interviews with residents and families and a review of nursing staff for strict compliance with state regulations.
With increasingly stringent regulations, achieving the deficiency-free rating is exceedingly difficult. These surveys, and the subsequent results, are a useful tool for prospective and current residents, their families and health care practitioners, to make informed choices about the quality of an assisted living facility.
“It takes an interdisciplinary team effort to receive this coveted deficiency-free rating. We are extremely grateful for all of our staff’s hard work and dedication to our residents here at Westgate Assisted Living,” commented, 12 year Executive Director, Brad Buschow. “Everyone from nursing, activities, administration, maintenance, housekeeping, dining and dietary and our professional staff are responsible for these fantastic results.”
Westgate Assisted Living has been the recipient of many awards and honors over the years and will celebrate 25 years of service this year. “Community of the Year Awards and seven Best of Omaha awards puts us in pretty good company,” Mr. Buschow explained, “We work hard to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each of our residents. If you are looking for your loved-one, consider Westgate Assisted living. “
