Morningside of Raleigh Celebrates 25 Years of Serving Seniors

October 29, 2016 marks the 25th anniversary of Morningside of Raleigh and our dedication to serving seniors and their families. This week-long celebration culminated with a Saturday morning neighborhood jamboree called "Honey, I'm Home!" Many neighbors, friends and families joined in the fun, complete with local honey products, local artisans displaying their wares, a bluegrass band and two food trucks. For dessert, our own Chef CC Tann conducted a live cooking demonstration showing us how he makes his signature, individual, honey-apple cobblers. Guests were given a cobbler and CC's recipe to take home as a reminder of our down home setting and supportive family atmosphere. We are honored to have served our community for all these years and look forward to the next 25!

Pumpkin Farm Fun!

Our residents took a trip to DJ's Berry Patch and Farm in Apex to select pumpkins for our upcoming pumpkin carving contest. In years past, this annual contest has drawn some great competitors and produced some spooky and hilarious jack o-lanterns as well as generating some big laughs. The pumpkin selection process was made all the more fun this year by the owners of this great farm who took the time to personally welcome our residents and make them feel welcome. Hot apple cider and home made mini donuts were enjoyed by all as we experienced the fresh air and farm memories.
