I moved to the Villa last April. I chose it because I had been to visit a friend several years ago and I was impressed with the beautiful grounds and interior. We had lunch in the lovely dining room and she showed me around the amenities on each floor. When I felt it was time for me to move my son and I looked at eight different retirement apartment complexes but I always came back to the Villa. My main reasons were the lovely grounds, the location in a private home setting, the cleanliness of the facility, the price and the friendliness of the residents I met here. Also Bob and Fran were so welcoming and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. I really like it here.....my cozy apartment on the third floor with a view of the grounds and beautiful trees. Another thing I like is the safe paths to walk on. I enjoy walking around the grounds. The staff here are great and I participate in most of the activities, and there are lots to choose from! One last thought....the food is almost always very good and we have a lot to choose from on the menu!

After my husband retired, we started thinking about the need to prepare for the time when we would need to downsize and move into a retirement community. We looked at several facilities before contacting the Villa. We have lived in Riverwood Estates for 30 years, so we were familiar with the location but had never been inside. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Bob Mogley was extremely gracious in showing us around and explaining everything about the Villa. We were very impressed with the atmosphere, the friendliness of both the staff and residents, the price, cleanliness, and especially the food, which was fabulous. We loved all the amenities, but most of all we love the location ...just up the street from where we live. We've called this area home for 30 years, so when we finally do end up here it will feel like we're still "at home". I would recommend the Villa to anyone who is searching for a great place to spend their twilight years...

I had been talking to Bob Mogley from the Villa and he was so friendly and kind and full of information-it's quite obvious that he loves his job there! Anyway my sister and I finally went out to see the Villa at Riverwood (also you do not have to have an appointment-how odd and wonderful is that? They must not have anything to hide!!! We did call just to make sure someone could give us a tour though!)and we were so surprised-when you first came in-ahhh-no horrible smells of any kind!!! Then we had a tour and I have never seen such friendly, kind-hearted, people that really care about the people who live there-it is like family. It is also uplifting-the people there were not sitting around with their heads hanging low-they were talking with the people who worked there or with each other. You get a great value for the price and I would encourage ANYONE who is looking for a Home Health Care home, to take a tour-I know you"ll be wonderfully surprised by the warm atmosphere and especially the warm, good people there! I would have absoutely no worries with my mom or any friend of mine living there!!!

For the past 2 years our mother was trying to decide if she wanted to continue to live in her home of over 50 years or move into a Senior Living Community. She and the family toured various communities and our mother eventually decided on The Villa at Riverwood. Her decision was based on several factors; location, the apartment size and layout, the property grounds, pricing, meal options and the friendly residents and staff. Since moving into the Villa she's enjoyed the meals (while still losing weight because she walks her dog throughout the property daily), begun to meet new people which was one of the factors for moving into a senior community and has started decorating her new apartment (which the Villa was willing to paint to her color specifications). While this move was a big change for our mother, she has maintained her independence by going out with friends, attending church and remaining active. Our mother has a New Home and a New Adventure.

I've known many of the folks at The Villa at Riverwood for many years. The staff and front office personnel are very pleasant and professional. The residents have always been friendly, engaging and conversational. I have to admit, I've not had anything but good vibrations from The Villa.

The Villa at Riverwood in Florissant, MO is a wonderful place. I looked for assistive living and independent living for my parents for weeks. When we toured The Villa at Riverwood, we knew immediately this was the place for them. The staff is like family and treat you like you are royalty and make you feel welcomed and important. My parents every need is being met here and this is now their new home. I thought the transition would be difficult for them to adjust to, but the kindness, warmth, and home-like feeling of this place made the transition easy. Executive Director, Fran Jackson and Bob Mogley are the best at operating this Five Star senior living community. It’s like a resort, and the food is to die for. The Holiday decorations were quite stunning and inviting to see when we went there. The Director of Sales, Bob Mogley has gone above and beyond his job to make my parents comfortable. Sometimes it’s those little acts of kindness that can win you over. He is like family to us. He is the best. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for senior living.

Are you a resident of The Villa at Riverwood or a family member of one? We'd love to hear your thoughts about the community!
