Pam-Swain-edit.jpgPam Swain
Housekeeping Director

For the last three years Pam has helped keep the Villa at Riverwood spotless. “I love my job and everyone who lives here is like an extension of my own family". Our residents feel the same way - and they most certainly know when “Pammy” is around because she has adorned her housekeeping cart with lights and little knick-knacks to help celebrate each season. “It warms my heart when something so simple like my cart - can put a smile on someone’s face".

She’s a real St. Louisan, born at the old Christian Hospital and grew up in Bellefontaine Neighbors. She attended Hazelwood High School, “When there was only one". Pam and her husband are both avid bowlers and met at:  “The Maple Bowl” a one-time favorite bowling alley that is now no longer.  Together, they have two boys and reside in Spanish Lake.  Way to go Pam!

Shari-edit-(1).jpgAnita Furnace

With more than 15-years working in customer service, Anita brings a wealth of education and experience to the Villa. She has mastered the ability to support, encourage and lead, while also maintaining the nurturing spirit of a mother.  A graduate of St. Louis Community College, Anita brings a loveable compassion which makes her a perfect fit for our residents and the Villa at Riverwood – we are happy to have her on board!

ChefEric-edit.jpgMelissa Wright
Food Services Director

Born and raised in Florissant, MO, Melissa attended Hazelwood West High School (Go Wildcats) where she fancied herself as an entrepreneur and excelled in the Distributed Education Clubs of America or DECA winning the "marketing category" for the state of Missouri. While Melissa was on the path to be a paramedic - her mother became ill - so in order to be more readily available, Melissa made a difficult career change and for the next 20-years, she was a kitchen manager for the Hazelwood and Ferguson School District.

She refers to herself as, "A hometown girl who likes cooking homestyle meals," however, her creative, culinary background and willingness to try "new recipes" while taking suggestions from our residents make her menu selections visually tasty and delicious. When she's not in the kitchen, Melissa can be found in constant motion "tag-teaming" with her husband as they take their three children to and from various sporting events: Baseball, soccer, basketball and gymnastics. And when that's all over, sleep is a very welcome relief.

RichardNiko-edit.jpgRichard Niko
Maintenance Director

Richard helps keep things running smoothly and looking great here at the Villa. Born in Gardena, CA, Richard’s father worked for TWA and travelled around. Eventually, he settled his large family of nine in St. Louis where Richard attended Ritenour High School and excelled in both football and basketball. After graduation, Richard worked in warehousing and furniture moving. When he got the itch to become his own boss, he scratched it and moved back to California where he started, “Niko’s Delivery.” He was pleasantly surprised when his high school sweetheart, (who is also from a large family of 13) joined him. They married shortly thereafter. Today, Richard and his wife call Hazelwood home and they spoil their two dogs, “Koa and Lily.”
