Fran has been the Executive Director here for four years. Prior to that time, she served as ED in assisted living communities as well as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing community. Fran holds an RN license and a nursing home administrator license and loves working in Independent Living. Always putting her residents first, she loves coming in every day, hoping she can help them with anything they need. Fran knew that she wanted to work with Seniors when she was very young. Her Grandmother lived with her family and Fran felt blessed to spend time with her every day. Fran also bought and sold antiques, owned an English Pub, and was a judge for Missouri Junior Miss pageants, both local and state level. She is a Genealogist and a professional actor, director and producer. Most of all, her true passion besides her residents, is her wonderful, loving family. Fran has five children and eight grandchildren and the best husband in the entire world.
Business Office Manager
For 15 years, Micki has been the ‘go to’ person at The Villa at Riverwood. Micki can handle any task and any situation, cool and calm. When not working with families, or making sure the business is taken care of, Micki can be found fixing a resident’s TV, setting up a Life Alert for someone, or troubleshooting any electronic problem. Micki also answers phones, assists people with their transportation schedules, helps residents with meal orders and anything else that arises. She has a phenomenal memory, a wonderful heart and she loves her family to the moon and back. When Micki is not helping residents and staff members, she loves gardening, playing with her dogs and cats, and spending time with her husband, Marc.
Lifestyle 360 Director
Kelly Anderson is the Lifestyles 360 Director and the newest member of the team. Kelly is a certified Missouri Activity Director with sixteen years of experience. Kelly has her CDL license, is a certified Dementia Specialist, a Master Trainer in Best Friends Approach to Dementia Care
, and has also completed training in Cognitive Stimulation Therapy as well as the Music and Memory Program. After graduating from College, Kelly enrolled in the Deaf Communications Program and studied American Sign Language for three years. Kelly has a passion for working with the elderly and planning fun and stimulating activities.
Bob Mogley joined the Five Star Team in 2015. Prior to that, Bob spent two years as a TV writer in Hollywood and the next 23-years in advertising. Bob builds strong relationships in the community as he helps seniors and their families understand the many benefits they can look forward to at The Villa at Riverwood. His enthusiasm and true passion is to enrich the quality of those who are getting ready to start an exciting “new chapter” in their lives. A self-described health nut, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, running, golfing, and the lively art of conversation. Everyone has a story to tell and he’s anxious to hear yours.
Food and Beverage Director
Raised in Columbia, MO, Chef Teresa Koehler started her career by hard work and dedication in many restaurant settings, which lead her to become a chef while also managing restaurants. Chef Teresa has earned more than 20 first place blue ribbons in food competitions and has a real passion for creating new and exciting dishes. In 2014 she was selected to participate in the Five Star Culinary Chef Challenge in Houston, Texas along with Five Star’s own Celebrity Chef, Brad Miller. In 2015, Chef Teresa was again chosen to participate in the Five Star Culinary Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana where she once again worked with Chef Brad Miller learning new ways to prepare and present food. Chef Teresa is a true culinary artist, crafting meals that look & taste exceptional, incorporating fresh, local ingredients. When not in the kitchen, she enjoys cooking with her husband at home.
David Smith joined the Villa at Riverwood team in 2015 as the Director of Maintenance. Hitting the ground running, David has used his 10 years of experience in commercial and residential maintenance to help keep life at the Villa running luxuriously. He’s proud to be born and raised in St. Louis and enjoys playing music and cooking in his off time. David can be seen whistling down the halls or outside and around the building, preserving and enhancing The Villa at Riverwood’s beauty.
Every day you may hear Robin talking to the residents in the hall or in their apartments. She leads her team of housekeepers through the halls, cleaning resident’s apartments while making them feel warm, loved and happy. These are the comments Robin will tell you when asked what she likes best about her job.” It is about the residents and how I can help them and make them feel happy, safe and loved.” Robin has worked at The Villa at Riverwood for nine years. Robin and her team keep our community so clean it sparkles, and the residents stop her as she walks in to thank her, kid with her, and wish her a good day. Robin is a giver and loved by all. In Robin’s time off from work, she loves spending time with her six grandchildren, including one football player, a ballerina, a soccer player and several who are little tots just dreaming about their future accomplishments.
