Scott Hassett
Executive Director

Scott Hassett has been the Executive Director at Morningside of Washington for the past year. Prior to joining the Morningside of Washington Team Scott had almost 26 years of experience in the social service field.  He was employed by Catholic Charities for 22.5 years in a number of positions, including the Interim Executive Director during a major transition period. He next moved to The Center for Youth and Family Solutions where he was the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Scott has been married to his wife Stephanie for 24 years. Scott and Stephanie have one son Austin, who is studying Finance at the University of Iowa. 
 

Angie Pedulla 
Sales Counselor

Angie Pedulla joined our team in March as the Sales Counselor for Morningside of Washington. Angie’s background is in Hospitality where she has spent 30 plus years, several of those years in Central Illinois at Jumer Hotels. Her hospitality background has presented her the opportunity to work with many families in planning special life events. She has said that it is very gratifying when you are able to successfully help people make life changing decisions. Angie lives in Peoria with her husband Frank; they have adult children and six Grandchildren that live close that she spends her free time with. Angie says she loves to meet people and make new friends, so stop by soon to say hello to her.
 

Angie Hittle
Lifestyle360 Director

Angie Hittle is no stranger to working with seniors or senior living communities in some capacity. After 23 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant Angie decided she wanted to impact residents’ lives through our research based Lifestyle360 Program. Her vivacious personality makes her a perfect for our Lifestyle360 Director. She engages our residents in daily activities that focuses on Maslow’s Five Dimensions of Wellness. Angie does a marvelous job of helping our residents’ share their life experiences and interests. When Angie is not leading our Morningside of Washington Lifestyle360 program you will find her enjoying quality time with her husband, 5 children and grandson.

 

Erik Rasmussen
Maintenance Director

Erik Rasmussen is our Director of Maintenance at Morningside of Washington. Erik joined Morningside of Washington in early 2015.  Erik has served in the United States Air Force where he was an F-16 aircraft armament systems specialist, electrical technician, machinist, and a maintenance technician at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL. Erik has a passion for perfection and ensuring top quality craftsmanship of the building maintenance.  When Erik is not taking care of our wonderful residents, he enjoys spending time with his family, practicing the art of fishing and firearm marksmanship.
 

Kim Frans
Nurse

Kim Frans has been caring for people for over 15 years in several different capacities. She takes great pride as an experienced department leader where she is able to coach and develop nursing teams to become compassionate caregivers. Kim’s past experiences of working with seniors in acute care and mental health allows her the opportunity to share the knowledge she’s obtained with her Morningside Resident Services Team. Her goal is to maintain and improve the health of our residents so they can lead exciting and engaging lives in their mature years. Kim’s personal time is spent with her family of two children, two dogs and sisters.


Jessica Leitner 
Food and Beverage Director

 Jessie Leitner has worked as Director of Food Services for over 25 years in Central Illinois. Jessie began her culinary journey at a young age while working side by side with her father in the family kitchen. This family tradition was passed down to Jessie and led to her lifelong career choice to prepare savory cuisine for others. Jessie has developed a new focus the last few years by providing seniors with nutritional meals and meeting their customized dietary needs. Jessie loves to bake from scratch recipes. She is thrilled to be leading our Five Star Dining Service Team and providing our residents with quality food choices. She strives to create robust flavors for our residents with diverse choices to compliment the important socialization opportunities that exist in our Five Star Dining experience. When Jessie is not in the kitchen testing a new recipe you will find her spending time with her family.

Branch Office Manager

Sandy is the Branch Office Manager here at Morningside of Washington.  She is a vital member of our management team performing various business functions and helping work with our residents and families. Sandy has vast experience working in the role of Office Manager and has improved a number of our business processes.  Equally as important to Sandy is her love of the senior population.  She applied to work at Morningside of Washington because one of her previous jobs was at a senior living community and missed the meaningful relationships with the residents. While most of Sandy’s work involves the business side, her caring nature with our residents and families adds much to our community culture.  Away from work Sandy loves to spend time with husband and adorable Shiatsu “Bear.” She also enjoys camping and auto racing.
