Laura Aronson
Executive Director 

Laura Aronson is our Executive Director at Morningside of Washington. She is a native of Washington, IL and returned home to join our team after beginning her family and career in Southern Illinois. Laura received her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University, and after a short stint selling Real Estate she began working in senior living. Laura has spent eight years serving seniors, six of those as the Administrator for an Assisted Living community in Herrin, IL. These experiences enable her to help our residents and team members grow in their roles in the community. Helping Morningside's residents and team members be their best is exciting for her. When away from the community, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, Knute, and their two small children. 
 

Angie Pedulla 
Sales Counselor

Angie Pedulla is our Sales Counselor for Morningside of Washington. Angie’s background is in Hospitality where she has spent 30 plus years, several of those years in Central Illinois at Jumer Hotels. Her role as a Senior Sales Counselor has given Angie the opportunity to work with seniors that desire a relaxing lifestyle change and how to make a successful transition. She accomplishes this by advising seniors and their families on how to find a safe and secure living community to help residents live their passions and engage in activities and social opportunities.  Angie is passionate about engaging seniors and providing them with a life that is full of choices while they age. Angie finds it very gratifying when she is able to successfully help people make choices that will enrich their lives. Angie enjoys spending time with her adult children and six grandchildren.

Branch Office Manager

Sandy is the Branch Office Manager here at Morningside of Washington.  She is a vital member of our management team performing various business functions and helping work with our residents and families. Sandy has vast experience working in the role of Office Manager and has improved a number of our business processes.  Equally as important to Sandy is her love of the senior population.  She applied to work at Morningside of Washington because one of her previous jobs was at a senior living community and missed the meaningful relationships with the residents. While most of Sandy’s work involves the business side, her caring nature with our residents and families adds much to our community culture.  Away from work Sandy loves to spend time with husband and adorable Shiatsu “Bear.” She also enjoys camping and auto racing.

Head Chef

Meet our Chef, Tim Berger. Tim has been a Professional Chef and Restaurateur in Central Illinois for numerous years.  He started in the business at age 14 at the Chateau in Pekin and worked there for over 16 years.  He has owned 3 restaurants and done catering through his career.  A Navy Veteran that attended UCLA, he received the Journal Star Award for his restaurant, Tim and Shelley’s, with 5 stars. This was the first 5 star rating given by the Peoria Journal star in 65 years.  When not serving the residents of Morningside he spends his time with his wife Shelley and his son Alex.  He also has an older son Robert and a granddaughter, Skylan.  Tim is also an avid Chicago Cub fan!

Lifestyle360 Activity Director 

Jill Franklin is the Activity Director of our Lifestyle360 program at Morningside in Washington. She was born and raised in Central Illinois but spent most of her life in Florida. There she was a RN and the owner of Abracadabra Aviary. Upon moving back to Illinois, she returned home to the house she grew up in since age seven. She likes to think “outside the box” when it comes to activities in our community. When she is away from the community she enjoys sports -especially her Chicago Blackhawks and Cubbies. Jill is very involved with her grandchildren and contributes to their activities of hockey and ballet. She is “Mom” to 3 parrots, Kojak, Izzy and Sugar, her cat Ozzie, dog Dutchie, and 2 turtles.  Jill is very involved in animal rights and enjoys visiting the cats at the ARK in Lacon.

Maintenance Director and Safety Coordinator

Michael Mullins, our Maintenance Director and Safety Coordinator, has been a Central Illinois resident for his entire life.  He graduated from Metamora High School and attended a four year apprenticeship with International Association of Bridge, Structural, Concrete Reinforcing and Ornamental Steel. Michael has many skills and our residents are fortunate to have his expertise!   In his time off he enjoys gardening, hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities.  He enjoys family life with his wife Kristin and their children, Coleman and Kelsey.  Mike is soon to be a grandfather.
