Along with many residents, Harold Anderson, cheered on the Cubs for the World Series. Harold has been a lifelong Cubs fan and enjoys being known as Morningside's #1 Cubs fan. He was even interviewed by the Washington Courier due to his love of the game. Harold always has a smile on his face and loves to spread joy to those around him. We are glad that we were able to see him enjoy the World Series cheering on the Cubs with his fellow friends and residents at Morningside of Washington.

In June, Morningside of Washington helped a resident named June turn 100. We collaborated with the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure foundation for this event. June celebrated her birthday by taking 100 steps around the courtyard followed by 30 more residents all the while another resident was playing "Chariots on Fire." This was followed with a cake presentation, ice-cream and lots of refreshments.
