The cooks make great meals for us. Our family Christmas dinner was wonderful and just super. The managers run the place perfectly. I can’t praise this place more. Thank you very much for all you do.

Carlos is a wonderful chef! He prepared a rib eye dinner for us the other day. It was absolutely delicious! The best rib eye I’ve ever had!

I was visiting my sister for the 1st time at Brenden Gardens. I was there for a few days and had the experience of witnessing a beautiful Christmas decorated community with the greatest staff I have ever seen. When I left I felt comfortable knowing my sister is living in a Great Place! P.S.: I LOVE THE SOUP!

If I were a dog, I would wag my tail because: 1. My wife and I like the view of a bit of nature, green grass, trees, and birds. If we want a larger view, we watch, either from the recently built outdoor gazebo or a large window in a corner of the dining room, several species of birds eating from the filled bird feeders. Also, when we want a more serene view, we watch the fish swim, float, or sometimes just being lazy, in the large salt water aquarium. 2. As we looked for a retirement community where we could enjoy each other without cooking, shopping for groceries, washing dishes, scrubbing dirty skillets and for me, trying to be Mister-fix-it, visiting hardware stores regularly, mowing grass, raking leaves, and shoveling snow had lost their appeal. We were willing, even eager, to let someone else do tasks we had done for sixty years. Brenden Gardens was recommended by a friend we had met at church and who lived there for several years. She arranged for us to have lunch with her and to take a tour with the management. So, we DID. 3. It was hard to make friends at our last address. There, the neighbors were mostly young, strong, healthy, planning a family, waiting for the completion of their new home. For them, life was just beginning. In the Brenden Gardens neighborhood most of us are old, growing physically weaker, no longer need to provide for and raise our children. We are not beginning a lifetime of work and career, but have closed the door on the eight-to-five habit. We pray less for ourselves and more for grandchildren and great grandchildren. Yes, this is our neighborhood. Here we have made new friends and found folks much like us. Here we are not starting, but we are marching closer to ending life...but among people we chose as neighbors.
