Gardens of Gainesville is located on the main thoroughfare in Gainesville, Georgia, which is hailed in many news media sources as one of “the best places to retire.” It’s situated at the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, surrounded by Lake Lanier and not too far from the downtown area, and one of Georgia’s top hospitals, Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Just before you enter the doors of Gardens of Gainesville, you will walk through a portico that leads to a fantastic colonnade, lined with rockers for our residents to enjoy. It’s common to see our residents reading the morning paper on our expansive porch. Upon entering the doors of our building, you will feel the warmth that typically accompanies a gracious Southern home. Beyond the entrance area of our classically decorated community is a shared cozy living room with a fireplace and grand piano.
Straight ahead is our community library complete with a fireplace of its own and large comfortable club chairs creating a warm and inviting ambiance for reading or chess. Just down the hall on the same floor is our newly renovated bistro with beautiful granite countertops, and short walk from our bistro is a glass-enclosed thoroughfare that leads to our residences and overlooks our garden and courtyard. Our residents absolutely love this area! Additionally, our community has a salon and on-site therapy center for our residents’ convenience.
Gardens of Gainesville is “nothing like you have seen before.” The interior design and attention to detail of our communities will simply take your breath away. Interior design plays an important role in creating a calming and sophisticated setting, and color schemes help define locations and create situational awareness. Layout and architectural features are designed to ensure safety and mobility. Residents have virtually the entire building and gardens at their disposal to enjoy dining, activities and interacting with family and friends. However, if it is solitude or privacy that they desire, cozy nooks, a corner in the garden, or their own residential suites are just some of the special places residents use to seek some time alone.
