I would like to take this time to recognize the wonderful team at Morningside of Athens who work together to take care of their residents and actively help carry our the mission of allowing our seniors to gracefully “age in place”. I also want to take this opportunity to recognize a “Shining Star”, Kiywana Beasley. I have known “ Kay” for several years and I had asked her what her name “ Kiywana” means... I discovered it means “one who understands “. This truly fits Kay as she really knows and understands her residents and how to care for them.

If you are having to make a decision about placing your loved one in assisted living community I can assure you that Morningside of Athens would be an excellent choice. My father, has been at Morningside for almost a year now, and the staff have been incredible. Unfortunately, my two brothers and my self live several hours away from Athens and cannot visit as much as we like. When we call to check on Dad the staff is wonderful and caring. Just recently, my father became acutely ill , and now is well. I was at Morningside during that time and cannot tell you how impressed I was with their care and professionalism. Teresa, the Director was incredibly helpful navigating me thru different insurance procedures, doctors, etc. Also, the time and care that Shirley and Jennifer gave my Dad during this time was beyond the call of duty. The whole staff was wonderful. The whole atmosphere when you walk in the front door is so positive and warm. Thank you all once again for the care you give my Father. It Is extremely reassuring to know this living so far away, Thank You.

My mom moved to Morningside of Athens in September of 2016 and it was the best & easiest decision I have ever made. From my first phone call & visit, Kim was so warm and welcoming. Our first meal there during visit was excellent! The staff is incredible & they make a point to interact with the family as well as the residents. The programs that are offered throughout the day are great and I especially love attending Bingo. You have made one of the most challenging & emotional decisions easy and comfortable for me and I can't thank you enough. I appreciate the small community and the family atmosphere. My mother is doing incredibly well under your care and we are so thankful. Morningside of Athens, you rock!!!

Visited this community in anticipation of moving my Mom to a good assisted living facility. Ended up choosing one closer to my home, but I can thoroughly recommend this community due to the happy and welcoming atmosphere. The director knew all of the residents, and they all seemed so happy. There seemed to be a wide variety of activities making it seem more like a neighborhood as opposed to a hospital.

I have been very pleased with all that is being done on a daily basis for a 91 year old friend who lives there. The staff is very kind and considerate and always treats my friend with respect. He feels at home.

Everyone on the staff has been attentive and caring, but especially Teresa and Scott. Scott took on Charter Cable/Phone for my parents internet/phone/TV issues and I am sure that is not in his job description and solved their problem, I owe a large thank you, I nor my Father had to tackle Charter, no small feat in patience. Teresa was instrumental in my Mother's securing long term health insurance. She guided my parents through the nightmare of Insurance companies red tape, lost faxes, unresponsive voicemails left to multiple agents and general unwillingness to pay and confuse elderly folks. I strongly recommend Morningside in Athens, GA.
