Coral Oaks is truly Five Star! From management and nursing to dining, maintenance and housekeeping. They are by far the best in the business. As a past employee I am proud to say I've worked with the best. Sad I had to leave such a wonderful and caring environment.

We would like to express our admiration for all of the staff at our "home" during hurricane Irma. The staff, under the direction of Dave Shymkiw, did an outstanding job. It was evident that they had a plan and it was well executed. A number of the staff stayed here the whole time and their main focus was the safety and well being of the residents, even though their own home may have been in danger. The selfless acts are too many to mention. However, they all, under Dave's leadership, should be commended.

My parents moved to Coral Oaks 6 years ago and it was one of the best decisions we all made. My husband and I live out of state, so having my parents in a safe and caring community was of great importance. The entire staff has been very supportive and dedicated to providing a welcoming home. All the residence could not have been more friendly. Due to some health issues my folks could not participate and enjoy the many activities offered, however we did enjoy many visits together poolside. The variety and quality of the meals offered was quite exceptional with excellent dining service. Our sincere thank you to Dave, Amy and the entire crew for making Coral Oaks such a special place. Keep up the good work!

We shopped for a year. We stopped at Coral Oaks to ask for directions to another community. A resident at Coral Oaks said, "You don't want to go there. You want to move here!" We did visit the other place, but came back to Coral Oaks for a visit and signed up immediately. We are so happy here! The people are so happy and the staff is so helpful. The food is excellent and they ask residents for input. If you need something done in the apartment, it is taken care of immediately. Our family loves Coral Oaks for us too!

After a back injury, I moved into Coral Oaks. The care and concern there could not be better. The apartments are lovely, and unlike some other places, these have a washer and dryer in each apartment. What a relief from some other places where there are common laundry rooms and the residents have to wait to get a machine and if any machines are broken you go from floor to floor looking for an open machine. The food is excellent, and the activities are fun and entertaining. There is also a cap on rent increases. There is no money up front here, just the monthly rent. Some places require $120,000 (more or less depending on the size of the apartment) up front and 4% is drained the first month and 3% every month after, so that by 4 years your money is totally gone. This is in addition to yearly increases. So add that to your monthly rent and compare. If you need care that is not covered at Coral Oaks, you can move to higher levels of care and still have that big chunk of your assets available. My advice would be to compare and read the small print before you make a decision. Coral Oaks cares and in my opinion gives you more bang for your buck.
