When my parents decided that their house and driving was too much for them (Dad was in his 90's and still doing his own taxes, and Mom was in her late 80's ) my partner and I took them around to almost all of the Senior Living Facilities in the area. We finally decided on Villa Valencia Independent Living because the fit was "just right": Most important they were right next door to Saddleback Hospital- which shared a parking lot with them as well as the Laguna Hills Mall. They had good food, shuttle busses to supermarkets, sight-seeing trips, Lunch trips and even trips to see plays and musical offerings in the area and lots of exercise and activity programs. The staff was outstanding and dedicated--they all loved their jobs and were devoted to the residents. As we later found out this even extended to the handymen. Great Nurses and med-techs are on staff--all very good at what they do. My parents were there for three years, in a huge Independent -Living apartment. It held a lot of the furniture that they took with them from their house, which made things a bit more familiar. When my Dad died, three years later, we moved my Mom --with help from Villa, who arranged for a trusted company to move her--we were shown various Assisted Living apartments and settled on one with a Living room, Bedroom and two bathrooms, so that we could stay there for a few days in the trundle bed -couch in the Living Room when we came to visit. That was super as it was like being with her at " Her Apartment", talking and watching TV at night etc. The staff was even more wonderful than I had thought. Seven years later, my Mother passed away at just over 99 years of age, and it was a peaceful transition. I had just been to visit and spoke with her on the phone that morning. The staff was with her and I will never forget their kindness... Altogether, Villa Valencia went way past my expectations- so much so that I am even considering it for myself when the time comes! Love You, Villa.

My grandpa has lived at Villa Valencia for almost 2 years now. He has never been happier!!! He always tells me he feels like he's on a cruise everyday he's there, because of all of the acitivties and amazing food! Even with the renovation going on, he tells me it totally doesn't bother him and the people it bothers, well they are just unhappy people regardless. The staff always works around the renovation and he says he doesn't even notice it anymore! He knows everyone that works there by name and every resident! I take my two little kids in to visit him a few times a month and the staff is SOO sweet with my kids!! The lunch is always the best food I've had all week! I seriously crave the lunches there! Top notch! I'm so happy my grandpa has found his new home and I will and do highly recommend Villa Valencia to everyone I know!:)

My 91 year old dad, Thomas Patrick Gillespie, has been living at Villa Valencia for some time now and I am confident that he loves it there. My spouse and I toured the facility about three years ago even before dad needed your facility and absolutely loved the entire place. I told my husband there and then, around 2014 that Villa Valencia is where I want to live when it is time. We are from Texas and haven't found anywhere here that even compares! Every thing about Villa Valencia is top notch and we are grateful dad has a great place to live. Thank you to the entire staff that makes it easy for us to feel that dad is in good hands.
