Meet the Chef: Russell Howell
Executive Chef, Food and Beverage Director
Chef Howell began his culinary career in a small Italian restaurant in Englewood, Colorado. Fueled by the desire to experience foods from different regions, he spent most of the 1980s traveling and cooking. With stops in Key West, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Honolulu, Chef Howell learned how to cook like a local to delight his diners. In 1988, Chef Howell joined Marriott® as a banquet cook at The San Antonio River Center Hotel, hosting events for as many as 5,000 people. From there, he became Executive Chef at the Marriott Houston Medical Center Hotel. A two-time recipient of Manager of the Quarter, Chef Howell made the leap to the senior living industry, and today, shares his well-traveled recipes with Pueblo Norte residents.
