Jeffrey Leer, CEO

Jeffrey Leer

President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Leer is President and Chief Executive Officer of AlerisLife, for which he had previously served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining AlerisLife, Mr. Leer served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Office Properties Income Trust and as Senior Vice President of The RMR Group LLC, where he has been responsible for the day to day oversight of the accounting and finance support functions of The RMR Group and its various affiliates. Previously, Mr. Leer held various accounting and finance positions at several multi-national Fortune 500 companies as well as the public accounting firm, Vitale, Caturano PC (predecessor to RSM). Mr. Leer is also a certified public accountant.

With over 20 years of senior living experience, Jenifer’s role as Executive Vice President brings the necessary industry knowledge and exposure to ensure Alerislife is committed to deliver the highest quality of care and service to our residents each and every day. Jenifer has held various operations roles in her career ranging from Executive Director to Chief Operating Officer at Sunrise Senior Living, Chief Operating Officer at ModernMD urgent care, President of SaVida Health and a Board Director at Lifespace senior living communities. Jenifer received a master’s degree in public administration, specializing in gerontology, and earned her doctorate in health administration. She holds various certifications applicable to the healthcare field, including a Mini MBA and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Michael Lopez

Senior Vice President, Chief Operating & People Officer
Michael Lopez joined AlerisLife in 2022 in the role of Chief People Officer, responsible for architecting a talent strategy to support brand expansion and leading the entire Human Resources function. Prior to Five Star and AlerisLife, Michael led the HR teams at Royal Caribbean International and Athleta, as well as served in senior HR positions at Starbucks and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Michael shares the Five Star and AlerisLife value of putting people first, informed by his depth of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness and service culture. A Connecticut native, he is also an avid fitness, health and adventure travel enthusiast.
Heather Pereira

Heather Pereira

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Ms. Pereira is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of AlerisLife. Prior to joining AlerisLife, Ms. Pereira served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Acushnet Holdings Corp. since May of 2017 and previously held various accounting and finance roles at the company, which she joined in 2004. Ms. Pereira has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience and holds a Master’s degree in Accountancy and Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.

Kelley’s diverse career journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence in the legal field. She most recently served as General Counsel at Droplette Inc., a venture capital-backed beauty technology startup. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in navigating legal landscapes and contributing to the company's success. Prior to Droplette, Kelley held key in-house legal positions at Dunkin’ Brands and Haemonetics.
Todd Tetrault VP, Chief Information Officer

Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Todd brings over 20 years of experience enabling business success through technology. Prior to joining AlerisLife in 2023, he served as Chief Information Officer of Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. His previous leadership roles span a broad range of industries, including loyalty platforms, online gaming, and real estate valuation services. Todd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the College of the Holy Cross. When he's not at work, Todd likes to spend his time being a dad to four daughters and one dog.
Melinda Skirvin

Melinda Skirvin

Vice President, Chief Wellness Officer
Melinda Skirvin joined Five Star Senior Living in 2005 as the Executive Director of Park Summit in Coral Springs, Florida. Since then, Ms. Skirvin has served as a Regional Director of Operations, Divisional Vice President and was most recently promoted to Chief Wellness Officer in January of 2023. She has more than 35 years of successful experiences in all facets of senior healthcare and senior living services and a passion for older adults and the team members who serve them. Ms. Skirvin is a Registered Nurse, has earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, and has certifications in Assisted Living Administration, Wellness, and Dementia.
Glennis Harris

Glennis Harris

Vice President, Operations

Glennis joined AlerisLife in early 2024 after an award-winning retail career spanning several large, multi-unit industry leaders. At The GIANT Company, Glennis served as Senior Vice President, Customer Experience where she led an operations team of more than 35,000 members, serving millions of customers each year. During her 10 years at Ross Stores, Glennis rose from District Manager to Regional Vice President where she directed all aspects of operations, marketing, and merchandising in the Baltimore/DC markets. Earlier in her career, she led teams at Osco and SUPERVALU where her Six Sigma Black Belt certification helped drive data-driven operational excellence and efficiency.

Glennis, a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, has also found time to train as an LPN and phlebotomist. She and her husband live in Chicago where she is actively involved in her church and the effort to combat food insecurity.

Meghan Davey, VP, People & Process Excellence

Vice President, People & Process Excellence
Prior to joining AlerisLife in 2022, Meghan accumulated 25 years of experience in human resources across multiple industries. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Human Resources at Drive Shack. She has also led operations and human resource teams at Federated Department Stores, Gap Inc. and other best-in-class hospitality and retail organizations. Meghan has a proven track record and unwavering commitment to talent development and process improvement across a wide spectrum human talent. Beyond her responsibilities at Aleris Life, she is equality dedicated to her community. Meghan serves as a board member for Benny’s Bodega, a New Jersey-based nonprofit with a mission of “people helping people”.
Paul Belle Isle, Vice President of Marketing

Paul Belle Isle

Vice President of Marketing
Paul Belle Isle leads marketing for AlerisLife. He brings leadership and functional expertise built in a career spanning start-ups, growth stage firms, and large enterprises including Aetna, Fidelity Investments, and Charter Communications. His experience across the health care, financial services, e-commerce, membership services, telecommunications, wireless, and not-for-profit sectors has given him a set of diverse perspectives that have helped him launch new companies, new brands, and new lines of business, as well as turnaround struggling organizations and level up others to reach their potential. Paul earned his MBA in Marketing & Strategic Brand Management from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and he holds a BA in Government from Cornell’s College of Arts & Sciences, with concentrations in mathematics and economics. In his personal life, Paul mentors several young executives, has been teaching karate for several decades, and serves as the operating leader for an international martial arts organization with presence in more than 20 countries.
