Veteran's Day

Five Star Senior Living is honoring Veterans this month with special activities and commemorations throughout the country at many of our senior living communities. From parades, to luncheons, to sharing stories, to ceremonies, we plan to show our appreciation to those who have served to protect our freedom.

Veterans Day was first proclaimed in 1919 by President Wilson in commemoration of Armistice Day. Still today, each November 11th is a day to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Veterans Administration
Created to fulfill President Lincoln's promise “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s veterans.

Veterans of the United States armed forces may be eligible for a broad range of programs and services provided by the VA.  Eligibility for most VA benefits is based upon discharge from active military service under other than dishonorable conditions, and certain benefits require service during wartime.

Elder Resource Benefits Consulting
The Veterans Administration offers benefits but the paperwork can be overwhelming; Elder Resource Benefits Consulting can help. This team of experts knows the VA, can pre-qualify you and handle the entire process.
