Five Star Senior Living Awarded Three 2010 ALFA Best of the Best Awards

The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) awarded Five Star Senior Living three of its prestigious 2010 Best of the Best Awards, a national recognition reserved for the nation's most innovative and effective business practices in the senior living industry.

The award was given to Five Star for three of its innovative programs:

  • “Selling the Five Star Difference” training program developed to improve sales and marketing strategies, and to offer better customer service to prospective residents and their families.
     
  • “Fall Prevention Is Everybody’s Business… Not Just Clinical!” initiative to make sure that all Five Star employees throughout each senior living community work daily to eliminate potential falling hazards.
     
  • The Bridge to Rediscovery Dining Program designed specifically for Five Star's Alzheimer’s disease care program, providing a positive dining experience for each resident with Alzheimer's or other dementia-related illness. Find out more about our Alzheimer's Care Program, Bridge to Rediscovery.

Six Five Star Senior Living Skilled Healthcare Centers Awarded 2010 Bronze AHCA/NCAL Award

Six Five Star Senior Living Skilled Healthcare Centers have received the 2010 Bronze "Commitment to Quality" National Quality Award, from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

Five Star's Signature Recipebook which features regionally flavored recipes from more than 100 of its senior living communities throughout the United States.
